Transfigurations
Stefan Cwik's new work Transfigurations for orchestra and solo brass quintet is set to be premiered in the SF Civic Symphony's summer concert series. The massive and cinematic work features paintings of renowned Mexican Artist Eduardo Rodriguez Calzado, who will be creating digital animations of his own work. Working with Mr. Calzado and local DJ Kris Grant, the collaboration will take the work of Calzado and create animations that the music was written to specifically accompany. Much like Disney’s Fantasia, the audience will be taken on a journey through the art while Cwik’s trademark bombastic orchestral compositional style supercharges the ride through the paintings

Masks are recommended for audience members, and physical distancing is strongly encouraged.
